About me

Hi, my name is Amanda Flemming, I like to be open and transparent with my existing and new clientele so I would like to share with you my past experiences whilst suffering with anxiety. 

In my earlier days I was driven by this anxiety, a workaholic trying to keep a business afloat, unaware of why I was doing what I was doing, unsure of who I was or what I really wanted in life. 

I decided 25 years ago to do something about it and committed myself to self-healing. During this time I was also learning as much as I could about emotional health and wellbeing.

Along the way I identified how significant the impact of mental health issues are, as 1 in 8 people suffer from some form of mental health problem. This helped me realise that I was not alone; a vast proportion of the population have struggles at times in their life which can impact their wellbeing, personal relationships, work, and even their physical health.

I decided therefore to devote my life to being a compassionate counsellor and psychotherapist, one that has a deep understanding of emotional complexities and mental health issues. I will support you to free yourself up from the emotional burdens you carry. I’m passionate about honouring the uniqueness of each person; we come from diverse backgrounds and this is an important consideration when it comes to health and wellbeing. My highest aspiration is to contribute towards healing ourselves and thus the world we live in. I believe that we are able to flourish when we finally come home to our authentic selves, and I’m confident that this inner peace also contributes to the wellbeing of others.
